Río Abierto is an invitation to enjoy a fuller life, to use all one’s potential, in synergy with the Earth and all its beings, and with the Universe.
Río Abierto System, created in 1966 by María Adela Palcos, is a system of transpersonal and psycho-corporal techniques and its aim is to contribute to the comprehensive development of the human being.
We invite you to get to know it.
It is a deeply spiritual approach, although it is neither religious nor dogmatic, based on a principle of freedom and trust in human potential. The integrated techniques allow us to discover the wisdom of the different bodies and achieve alignment between body, heart, mind and spirit.
Since its beginning, Río Abierto's work has had a continuous international development through instructors trained by María Adela Palcos, who created training centres and schools in their countries.
This movement currently consists of thirteen countries that belong to Río Abierto International Organisation.
The instructors are seekers who have made this journey and want to improve their lives on different levels.
They come from different areas of expression and action, from the fields of health, art, education, community.
The instructors are graduates of the Training Schools and can become part of the network by completing their membership.
Río Abierto International is a network integrated by instructors, trainers, directors, centres and schools of training, which has an international management team and is open to a dynamic structure.
The international management team is currently formed by:
María Adela Palcos, always present.
Graciela Figueroa (Chairwoman), Marinela Carneiro Días, Cristina Plante, Armando García, Ely Mullagalieva.
It is an incarnated spirituality. It seeks to recover the purpose and meaning of life, transforming thought into consciousness and consciousness into action, opening ourselves to the different dimensions and bringing them into our life on Earth.
Main areas of experience
Río Abierto System has been developing mainly in the following areas:
Health
Education
Art
Community
Science
Río Abierto's work is both theoretical and experiential. The framework is both group and individual, with the group serving as a regulating and healing space that is enriched by the presence of each person.
Our essential work is to focus on what each person brings and the contribution of the group.
In addition to timeless wisdom, we integrate the ‘latest’ tools from psychology and science into our work.
